My very first Car Accident

Happy Monday for me? Nope I don't think you. I should have just went straight back to bed when I shook my drink that morning and forgot to close the lid and everything spilled around in the kitchen.

I left for work and just got on the ramp to the highway when it happend... The car in front of me decided to come to a full stop for a truck that was on the emergency lane and wanted to merge on our lane. I was able to stop with squeaking tires, but the Minivan behind me didn't see it coming and rear-ended me. Yay!

I am kind of okay and the car is okay as well, but I wanted to start my week different than that :-/ Our bumper has scratches now and some broken spots. Unfortunatly the car pulls now to the left... We are hoping to get an estimate this week. I, for myself, went yesterday to the doctor. I was fine after the accident but later on I had so much pain... I opened a PIP claim and saw one of our doctors at the facility I am working at. He diagnosed me with a cervical strain and whiplash... :-/ Yesterday was a bad pain day. I got some ibuprofen, muscle relaxen and a month of Physical Therapy. Now I can see how the PT looks from a patients view :-D

Three fulltime jobs

I am so sorry guys that I let you down a long time... But now I am back ;)

Since my last blog post nothing really happend. With my new car it is now possible for me to commute to work every day, which means I finally can sleep at home during the week :) but this brings me to my headline: three fulltime jobs! I am so busy that I dont't have any time for my hobbies, like scrapbooking or writing my blogs. I am a fulltime-nanny, fulltime-student and fulltime-girlfriend und unfortunately in that order... poor JT :(

My employer had a really tough time at work which meant for me more work, even on weekends. In average I have to leave home in the morning around 6.45/7.00am, am getting up with JT at 5am and my lovely parents are having breakfast with me over facetime :) Thanks again <3 every morning I am stucked in traffic for over an hour and as soon as I am at my employer's house I take care of the baby. I, basically, never know when I am off, but most of the times it is between 6.45pm and 8.15pm. Than I have to commute back home which is like a 25-45 min ride depending on traffic. Back home I get a delicious dinner made by my man, take a shower, talk about our days, watch TV, I have to study and than it is already time to say night night :D

So now you guys know why I didn't had much time and motivation to continue this blog but know I try to right more often again ;)

new Car

I still can't believe it but finally my car search came to an end. Last Thursday I found a car at the dealer in Gambrills and I really liked. Because I was scared that maybe the car was gone until Saturday, my lovely boyfriend decided to go straight after work to take a look at the car. He liked it and took it right away on a test drive. He put a deposit on the car that they would hold if until Saturday for me.

We had a visitor from Germany this weekend, so all three of us - JT, Juliane and me -  went as early as possible to the dealer. I looked at the car and took it on a test drive. And I liked it! It is a Hyundai Accent GL from 2000. It is a really car and it's enough to commute ;) I was so happy that the search was finally over. We finished the paperwork and after 3 hrs of waiting (they had to fix something at the shop), I went home with my car :D

I told my employers on Sunday and decided to drive to work on Monday morning. I saw the weather prediction for Monday morning and it said 4-5 inches of snow. But I thought that it wasn't correct at all the last times... yea until JT woke up to go to work and 10 minutes later woke me up too, to tell me that it snowed... Ahhhhh so I got ready around 5.30 am this morning and left the house (after a test drive) around 6.20 am.

It was not bad at all to drive and I was not the only one who didn't thought the weather prediction would be right this time. No snow trucks nothing prepared the streets, but they were fine to drive. After 50 minutes I arrived in Bethesda. It was so beautiful this morning with all the snow on the trees. But yea that was a perfect test drive for my new car :D

Living your dream...

... is not easy!

I badly need a car so I decided to try again to get it financed. I mean I need to build up my credit history and this way would be the fastest.

So anyway we went to three dealers, because they had some nice Honda Civics in my price range. First one was around the corner here in Laurel. But unfortunatly they just offered in-house financing and I am not really fond of the idea getting some money lend from a small company. You never know and with a bank you at least now they could loose their reputation if they do some s***!
After that we went to a small dealer in Gambrills. It looked really nice and they hat a really good reputation on BBB. But haha what do you think? We drove in and in that moment "my" Honda drove of the parking lot - sold! I looked at some other cars and found a really nice Honda Accord but yea guess what?! Because this dealer is so small they didn't finance. So try to contact a StateFarm Agent or your Bank on Saturday for a car loan :/
With the last dealer is still everything possible so we see on Monday whay happens next... Ahhhh I hope my car wish is not jinxed... :/

But at least we got today something for our living room. Since we put away the christmas tree the living room was so empty :D our new plant :D

Why everything happens at once?

That can't be true... I had saved up all the money to buy my car and then I couldn't find one... And what happend next?! Phone n laptop decided not work proberly anymore, the rent had to get paid too, n then I get admitted for graduate college n had to pay tuitions!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh.... too bad a Lego-car can't help in that situation... Bye bye first own american car :(
