The real cherry on top :-)

While my parents were in town they were able to be part of yet another major decision I (now we) had to make :-)

first moving box

We are moving in our very first own apartment! Yay :-) Finally no basement apartment, no roommates, privacy, an own kitchen :-) you get to appreciate these things when you are living with two more people in the house. And hey we are married :-) this step was long overdue!

And for me this is actually the first time I am moving out... Yes I moved to Thailand for 6 months, I came here as an au pair and than I finally moved here. But all of this was just with a suitcase :-) I am super excited and JT as well. My parents had the chance to actually see the apartment we are moving in and they were thrilled!

So where are we moving? It is actually just 5 minutes down the road, close to the Mansion where we got married last year in October. We are renting a 1BR apartment with balcony. This last Saturday we actually signed the lease :-) Moving Day is end of September - so a little bit over two weeks left!

Visit from Germany

Mommy and daddy came for a visit to the States - again! After like 9 months not seeing them, my hubby and I picked them up at the airport mid-august :-) I was so excited to finally get a hug again!

They spent over two weeks with us and we had a wonderful time. They did some sightseeing in D.C., we went to Baltimore and the National Aquarium, visited a Amish Market, had a great cook out with the whole family and the cherry on the top was our trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina :-) only downside of that trip: JT and I both got stung by a some Jellyfish *grrr* That really hurt... Back in Maryland both JT and I had to work, but with this stressful schedule my parents where happy to spent some time at our place and just relax ;-)
