My week contained no holiday for me, many snow days, long commutes to and from work, driving in snow which took me over 2 hrs and a burst tire when I was on my way to rescue my hubby who locked himself out of house and car...
The week got topped with something I still can't believe really happend... I am talking about the shooting at the Mall of Columbia. This is the Mall we always go for shopping, it's 15 Minutes down the road from our house, I used to go there as Au Pair every weekend, especially saturdays, I showed my parents the mall when they were here in July. Saturday morning as we were grocery shopping we heard the news of an active shooting happening at the Mall. We planned on going there after we would be finished with our groceries... So happy we didn't and that we sticked to our plans - first groceries and than "window shopping". Two people died and the shooter killed himself (coward!!!), people were for hours in the mall stucked until the police evacuated everyone. The police is still investigating and the motive is unknown. It is so sad that something like that happend in our home. I am so thankful that all my family and friends were safe! My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the shooting and their families! :(
