[Recipe] celery gratin

So I decided to publish some of my recipes I cook for the little One. This week I start with a veggie side dish for a small budget. It's really easy to prepare and cook, and it is so delicious! I am not a big fan of celery so I was first skeptical, but now it's one of my favorite side dishes. You can serve this side dish just by itself or you fry some chicken or fish :)

celery gratin

Ingredients
(4 servings)

1.8 lbs celery
salt, pepper
shredded cheese (as much as wanted)
feta cheese
olive oil
butter for the casserole dish

First you cut the celery in the individual rods, then wash it and cut the celery green. Please set the celery green aside, we need it later. To fit everything in the pot, I cut the celery rods into halves.

In a pot boil salted water and cook the celery sticks there for 8 minutes. Removing them from the pot and rinse them under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towel.

Now preheat the oven to 390 F. Butter the casserole dish and put the celery in. Season with pepper and drizzle olive oil over it. Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheese over it. I always sprinkle some feta cheese over it first for the taste :)

Bake everything in the oven for about 15 minutes (or until the cheese is brown). At last, chop the celery green and sprinkle it over the gratin before serving.

Good luck :)
