[Recipe] Pork Tenderloin with Apples

We went grocery shoppping for the first time at Costco and got so many things incl. pork tenderloin to an awesome price. I wanted to treat my hubby to something good and also I was looking for a distraction ;-) One of my papers is due Sunday night and yay so I decided to be for hours on pinterest :-D anyway I wanted to try something totally new for me/us and I found a recipe for fall-ish inspired pork tenderloin recipe. I made pork tenderloin with apples, honey, cinnamon and onions in our slow cooker :-) as sides I served some beans with salted potatoes. The meal was a big hit :-)

Ingredients
(for 4 servings)

3 lbs pork tenderloin
1 apple, sweet, sliced
2 onions, yellow, sliced
3 tbsp honey
Cinnamon, as needed
Mr. Dash, as needed
Pepper, Salt, Bay leaves
Brown Gravy mix

Slice slits into porkloin horizontally, about 3/4 through meat. Fill each slit with one or two apple slice and drizzle honey over top (in between the slits as well).

Transfer the pork into slow cooker. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Layer the meat with onions and a few bay leaves.

Cook on high (depends on each slow cooker) for 4-5 hours. One hour before serving take out pork. Add brown gravy mix to the broth, stir well, let cook for a few minutes or until thickened. Add pork again and let cook in gravy for the remaining of the time.

Serve with sides as wanted, we choose salted potatoes and beans.

ENJOY :-)
